AutoBlot Studio is a web-based platform for automated western blot image analysis, statistical analysis, lab book management, integrity checking, and AI-assisted research guidance via Blotty. You may use the Service for lawful scientific research and academic purposes. You agree not to:
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Please notify us immediately at support@autoblotstudio.com if you suspect unauthorised access.
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and use the Service.
Some features of AutoBlot Studio require a paid subscription. By subscribing, you agree to pay the applicable fees as described on our pricing page. Payments are processed securely by Stripe.
Subscriptions renew automatically each billing period unless cancelled. You may cancel at any time via your account settings. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period — no partial refunds are issued for unused time.
We reserve the right to change our pricing with reasonable notice. We will notify you by email at least 14 days before any price change takes effect.
You retain ownership of all images, datasets, lab book entries, and other content you create or upload to AutoBlot Studio. By using the Service, you grant us a limited licence to store and process your content solely to provide the Service to you.
You are solely responsible for ensuring that any content you upload does not infringe the intellectual property rights of any third party and that you have the necessary permissions to analyse it.
When you use Blotty, limited contextual data from your active session (such as dataset values or graph type) may be transmitted to our AI provider (Groq) to generate a response. This data is used solely to answer your query and is not stored, retained, or used for model training by Groq or by us. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
The Stats Suite and other tools allow you to save named sessions to your account. Saved session data is stored securely in our database and is accessible only to you. You may delete saved sessions at any time from within the application.
AutoBlot Studio is designed to support reproducible, unbiased analysis. You agree to use the analysis outputs responsibly and to disclose the use of automated analysis tools in any publications or submissions where such disclosure is required by journal or institutional policy.
All software, algorithms, designs, and content that make up AutoBlot Studio — including the Blotty AI copilot, its name, character, dialogue, and behaviour — are the intellectual property of AutoBlot Studio or its licensors. Nothing in these Terms grants you any rights to our intellectual property except the limited right to use the Service as described herein.
You may not use the Service, its outputs, or any information obtained through it to develop, benchmark, or improve software, algorithms, or services that compete with AutoBlot Studio. Systematic extraction of data, figures, or results by automated means — including but not limited to web scraping, API harvesting, and headless browser automation — is prohibited without our express written consent. We reserve the right to implement technical measures, including rate limiting, to enforce this prohibition, and to terminate accounts that violate it.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for any particular scientific or regulatory purpose. Analysis results, statistical outputs, and AI-generated guidance from Blotty should be independently verified before use in publications, clinical decisions, or regulatory submissions. Blotty's responses are informational only and do not constitute professional scientific, medical, or statistical advice.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, AutoBlot Studio shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. You may request an export of your data within 30 days of termination.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
